What a beautiful day to turn six weeks old. Nice little adventure outdoors, some stressed out leaves to chase and wet grass on our bellies. They have come out of their shell a bit in the last few days. They are becoming more and more active, playing hard and then sleeping hard! They have the food routine down now, they can tell time by their belly growl.  We are enjoying this nice Saturday playing fetch! It's a wet and cloudy day, but we'll take it for an August afternoon. Hope everyone is having a great day!  So exciting to be five weeks old! We had our first excursion to the outdoors on the magic carpet! They loved it! A few tried to just relax and enjoy the outdoors and the fresh air. A lot of sniffing and investigating as to what exactly is around this carpet. It was a fun time for all. We started puppy mush this week and we have some eaters! I feel like these pups have grown so much this week. And to think we are at the half way point, four weeks old. We survived our first thunderstorm and three hour power outage last night... they slept thru the whole thing and never skipped a beat! Personalities are coming out. Puppies are loving their toys... stuffed, littermates and humans. They are becoming more vocal and love to greet you with each meeting. The puppies enjoyed a Sunday evening exploring the toy options. The curiosity was getting to them.... they sniffed and pawed at them. The tag on the bone toy seemed to be the most interesting of items. They are becoming more and more active, for ten minutes or so anyway, before they are all tuckered out again and ready for nap time. Today, we had some one on one time. They all loved the individual attention. I combed them all and clipped their nails. Laid each one on their back and rubbed on their chest, belly and paws. They all loved this and took every minute of it in, not a one tried to roll over.
